A Night of Fashion & Style

Last September, our Studio Portfolio crew hit the runway scene—well, almost—at the Providence Fashion Week Showcase held at the vibrant Farm Fresh venue, just steps from Providence Place Mall. The event, part of both Providence and New England Fashion Weeks, was masterfully chaired by the incredible Yemi Sekoni—a powerhouse in the East Coast fashion and art scene and the visionary behind the Providence RAW Artist Showcase.

Before the fashion festivities kicked off, we fueled up with an early dinner and some window-shopping fun at Providence Place Mall. Then it was off to the main event—starting with the Emerging Designers Showcase and ending with the Professional Designers Showcase, a dazzling finale that truly brought the glam.

Our team made the most of the night:

• • TJ Hong snapped runway shots alongside professional photographers and walked away with new connections and serious inspiration.

• • Wenqi (Cici) Zhao and Jiani Lyu live-sketched the models in action, capturing the movement, mood, and magic of the evening.

• • Jasmine Feng met designers, chatted with models, and gathered some exciting contacts. Later, she even had a one-on-one video call with Yemi Sekoni herself for a personalized industry insight and portfolio critique!

This showcase marked just the beginning of an exciting year of fashion-forward adventures for our students—and we’re just getting started!
